SuperBowl
Okay we are now just a mear 4 days away from super bowl 44, and i couldn't be more excited. We have the New Orleans saints being led by drew brees to face off against the Indianapolis Colts led by peyton manning. You have your $35million commercials, your pizza places making millions apon millions of dollars, dont even get me started on how the liquior stores will be on saturday night and sunday. Okay now lets take a look at the game. Going into the playoffs the saints ended the season 13-3 after having lost there last 3 games of the season. But when the playoffs started you couldnt even tell that they had lost there last 3 they came in like a well oiled machine. Although when it came to their NFC championship game against the vikings they came close to losing it, but thanks to the vikings for making a very stupid to many men in the huddle penalty causing bret favre to throw the football, which turned out to be an interception. the game went to over time where the saint emerged victorious. THen there is the colts who ended the season 14-2 having lost there last 2 games of the season sparking alot of controversie within there first loss. Half way threw the game and a perfect 14-0 season they decided to take out their starters while only having a 3 point lead. this caused them to lose the game and made critics talk for a very long time hell their probablly still talking about it. But once the playoffs started so did the colts emerging victoious in both of their playoff games and neither one being all that close to begin with. Now lets look at each teams star player it just so happens that both teams star players are their qb's. The saints like i said are led by drew brees who in his 2 playoff games this year has thrown for 444 yards and 6 touchdowns with 0 interception. those are some very good numbers for a qaurterback to have. Then theres the colts who are led by peyton manning. Manning is coming into the playoffs with 623 passing yards with 5 touchdowns and 1 interception. Those are also very good numbers. Heres th big thing though experience has to go to the colts seeing as how they have won the big one once before. The saints are going into their first super bowl in franchise history. Also history is on the side of the colts lets look back shale we. Last year the steelers won the super bowl, the first time the colts won the super bowl the year before they won it the steelers won. The first time peyton manning won a super bowl it was in miami in the rain, this years super bowl is in miami and last i heard there is a good chance of rain that day. Aslo when they won it the last time in the afc championship game they made a second half comeback agisnt the new england patriots, this year they made as econd half comeback aginst the new york jets another afc east team. So history is on the side of the colts, but sometimes history doesnt mean anything. If the colts fall behind in this game bye 14 or more points there is no way they make a comeback the saints offence is just too good. Personally i will be ruting for the saints since they have never won a super bowl before i would like to see them do it. I fell like they will have the advantage of the crowd because miami is closer to new orleans than it is to indy and being their first super bowl ever i expect there to be a lot of saints fans at this game. It is hard to compete agaisnt saints fans when you are the other team thay just have some edge. All i know is it has the potential to be a very good game and i expect it to be very high scoring. I feel however i will be rooting for the saint something is telling me manning gets ring number 2 in a hrad fought battle with the final score being 45-41 colts. I hoe all of you who watch enjoy the super bowl as i know i will(unless the game totally sucks), and lets not forget that the who is performing at halftime. I dont think they will be as good as springsteen was last year but i am looking forward to seeing them and who knows maybe theyll have a half time smashing their stuff. But anyway i hope people enjoy the superbowl especially if anyone is going to any parties like i am those are alwys fun, but should be a good game so enjoy it people.

Wrestling
Okay i just finished what i would consider a dream day after watching about 4 hours of wrestling. It started with me finally watching the royal rumble 9i know a little late but better late than never). Overall with exception of the divas match i felt that the royal rumble was a very good pay per view. After Wrestlemania the royal rumble could be my favorite pay per view, either that or summerslam. The show started off with a pretty good ecw title match between christian and ezekial jackson. I have to say that match was much better than i had expected it to be, usually jackson has some bad matches but something about captain charisma made him have a good match. Next was a match for the us title between the miz and mvp. I really hoe this match wasnt the last we see of these two against each other, they had been building a very good rivalry going into this match and i would love to see that continue. Then i was a little surprised to see the wwe title match next but i was not dissapointed with it. I expected a good match between these two mostly because orton is currentlly one of the best and sheamus if given the right oponent isnt all that bad and is only improving. They had the divas match next which was a major disapointment and really didnt need ot be there. The world title match between mysterio and the undertaker was perhaps the match of the night that wasnt the royal rumble match. The rumble match itself was a good one like it usually is and had some surprises. The biggest surprise was the see beth phoenix enter in th rumble and have her eliminate someone. I was actually ok with that as she is one of the only divas who can have a good match. I was really glad to see edge come back as he could possible be my favorite wrestler right now not named shawn michaels. Then i watched raw which wasnt all that bad. I was glad to see them get the participant for the elimination chamber match quick instead of dragging the qualifing matches on like they usually do. THe angle with bret hart and vince is startingto look good but i feel like batistas interference in last night showdown was unneeded. I was really glad to see kofi kingston qualify for the elimination chamber, because adding him to a match only makes it better. cant wait to se what hapens this friday on smackdown with their elimination chamber. This is the best time for wrestling fans because the time between the rumble and wrestlemania is like wwe's version of the playoffs. So thats my post for today check back tomorrow as i plan on analyzing and making a pick for this sundays super bowl.

Very Long Time
Wow i can't beleive how long it's been since my last post over the summer. So many things have happened since then. There have been massive amounts of celebrity deaths :(, I have officially started college at CCRI, the super bowl is almost among us, the golden globes went bye( i should have made prediction i probablly will for the oscars though), the grammys were last night, and im sure there is more that i cant think of. I am now going to try to post things more frequentlly. Today on my mind is sports (big surprise). One of the big things in my opinion in sports this weekend was dion phaneuf of the calgery flames was traded to the toronto maple leafs and also was jean sebastion jiguere. For those who dont know phaneuf is a defensman and jiguaere (im not really sure how to spell his last name) is one of the leagues top goalies. In my mind i feel like this could help elevate toronto from one of the worst eams in the east right now to being a possible playoff contender. Now i don't think they will make the playoffs this year but i feel maybe next year they could be lookin at the playoffs for the first time in a while. This was a good move for toronto as both players will help out phil kessel in making this team good. The other big thing in sports this weekend is not the probowl but instead the oklahoma city thunder. As some may not know the thunder are and NBA team (my favorite) and there star player kevin durant was able to drop 45 points last night against the golden state warriors. Man is durant ever impressive, this is only his third season in the nba and i for one feel he should be this years league mvp. He is now second in the league in ppg after passing lebron(last years mvp). Idk maybe im wrong in thinking that but in my mind he should be this years mvp, all i know is as long as they make the playoffs (currently 9th seed) i will be happy with that. So thats it for now got some stuf off my chest and i hope to be back with before the super bowl and give people my take on that a little later in the week.

Long Time
It's been a long time since i have blogged and i appologize to all of my 1 person who reads this. I can't beleive i took this long because a lot of things have happened in the world since my last post. First there was the N.F.L draft where my 49ers drafted mike crabtree wr from texas tech. Then there was the death of that kung fu star and still no one is really sure if it was suicide or what last i heard they thought it was murder. Then the Pittsburgh Penguins win the stanley cup in a very good 7 game series with the Red Wings. The lakers won the N.B.A champinship in a 5 game series with the Magic. also i just heard today that Ed McMahon died. A lot has happened since my last post which was a bout wrestlemania and in the wrestling world Vince Mcmhaon has cut like almost every wrestler he has it seems. Then there was the story line were he "sold" monday night raw to Donald Trump and Trump decided to make last nights raw commercial free first time in 17 years. So i let time pass me by and i didnt mean to do that so hopefully i will post sometime soon. I also forgot one of the most important things that has happened since my lat post i have graudted from Tolman High School in pawtucket Rhode Island. So hopefully my next one will come sooner than this one did.

WrestleMania 25 results
Ok sorry this is later than i said it would be (even though i bet still no one cares) but here are the results along with my oppinion of the matches for WrestleMania.
Carlito and Primo Colon defeated Miz and Morrison This match was not actually on WrestleMania it was a pre show match for the people in Houston so i cant rate it or tell you about it because i didnt see it.
C.M Punk defeated Mark Henry, Finlay, Christian, Kofi Kingston, MVP, Kane, and Shelton Benjamin in the Money In The Bank ladder match Match starts with the ring being cleared exceot for the two big guys Mark Henry and Kane and they slugg it out for a couple seconds. Then it seems like everyone jumped over the top rope onto the other competitors, only to be finished with Shelton Benjamin doing a swanton off the top of like a 15-20 foot ladder. Then back in the ring finlay sets up a ladder only to have Kofi Kingston jumo through it and kick Finlay in the face. Shelton does a good powerbomb to MVP over the top rope onto Mark Henry. Then Christian gets choked slammed off of the top of a ladder by Kane who then gets kicked by C.M Punk off of the ladder and we have our first back to back winner. Good match with lots of action and a good way to start the show. MATCH RATING: 8
Santina Marella wins 25 diva battle royal Match started after an overly long Kid Rock performance. There was no entrance so you didnt really know who was in the match. It didnt really go all that well after that either. The match went really fast and then its santino marella (santina) winning the battle royal. MATCH RATING: 4
Chris Jericho defeated Rowdy Roddy Piper Jimmy Snuka and Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat Match started off slow with Jericho facing the 185 year old Jimmy Snuka who was quickly eliminated afeter taping out to the walls of jericho. Then it was Piper and Jericho and piper got beaten quickly. Wich left it down to Jericho and Steamboat who was actually very good in this match. Steamboat helped make this match watchable. After the match Jericho called in Mickey Rourke and Rourke punched Jericho in the face and knocked him out of the ring. Overall it was pretty decent a match thanks to Steamboat. MATCH RATING: 7
Matt Hardy defeated Jeff Hardy in an extreme rules match Match started off pretty good with jeff beating down Matt in the beginning. Then later on in the match Jeff splashes Matt through two tables. Then Jeff sets up two ladders in the ring and leap frogs over one of them off of the other and mises a leg drop onto Matt. This set up Matts twist of fate while Jeffs head was in a chair. Decent match that served its point wouldnt have been as good if it was a regular match. MATCH RATING: 7.5
Rey Mesterio defeated JBL for the intercontinental title This match was deffinatlly pointless JBL trash talks Rey about how this was going to be the most dominant victory in wrestlemania history, then hits rey with a boot to the face. After that the bell rings Rey hits JBL with a kick and then a 619 and wins the match in 21 seconds. Just plain dumb instead of this they could have extend a match like the divas battle royal and maybe made that better. MATCH RATING 3
The Undertaker defeated Shawn Michaels Match started off really good and just continued that way through out. Match starts with HBK hiting and running. Then about half way through the match rolls to the outside. Shawn goes up top for a moonsault and the undertaker swats him away. The Undertaker then goes into the ring and does his over the top rope move he always does at wrestlemania and at this point shawn pulls a camera man in the way and the undertaker crashes into him. Then there were tons of false finishes including a chokeslam a last ride powerbomb a tombstone and two superkicks. Then after over a half hour of wrestling between two of the oldest guys in the company Shawn goes for a moonsault but is caught by the undertaker and is tombstoned and the Undertaker inproves to 17-0. MATCH RATING 10
John Cena defeated Big Show and Edge for the world heavey weight title Match started off with the big show getting the upper hand to begin with but it eventually turned into all equal. Match has a good spot were edge spears the big show after jumping off of the ring steps and sent the big show through the baracede. Then John Cena shows soem verry impressive strength when he lifts the big show and edge together which is over 700lbs! Then he slammed the big show then slams edge and pins the bigh show for the win. MATCH RATING 8
HHH defeated Randy Orton to retain the wwe title Match started off very back and forth. Then Randy Orton starts to get the better of hhh for like 5 to 10 minutes. Eventually HHH fights back but not before getting hit with an rko and kicked out ofter a 2.99 count ( as the wrestling reporters say). Then HHH hits the pedigree for the 1, 2, 3 and gets his first wrestlemania win in 6 years. MATCH RATING 8.5
Overall I gave this years wrestlemania a 56/80 which is a 70. no t a bad grade but for the 25th anniversary of wrestlmania it could have been much better. I still think it was good mastly for the Undertaker Shawn Michaels match and the two title matches. So that was WrestleMania next is Backlash from my home state of rhode island providence rhode island to be exact. Maybe ill make predictions for that pay per view to make up for my horrible wrestlemania picks. Maybe not we will have to see how it looks but i'll be back some time soon.

WrestleMania 25
This sunday as many of you probablly don't know (or care) is WrestleMania 25. I am very much looking forward to WrestleMania this year. Not quite as much as last year but last year i was in attendance wich made it special. Ok here are my pics for this years WrestlMania.
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Christian vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mark Henry vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. C.M Punk. I think this match won't be any where near as good as the previous four but it looks like it could have its moments. I feel booking Mark Henry for this match was a bad idea because he is like 350 lbs. and looks like 500. But he could surprise me and be a good fit with his power. I like having Kofi Kingston in the match because he adds that High flying aspect to it. Then theres Shelton Benjamin the guy who is always the MVP of the match. Every year he is in it and every year he is the best. However i feel Christian should win this match but since Vince McMahon isn't the biggetst fan of his i don't think he will win. WINNER: MVP.
JBL vs. Rey Mysterio for the intercontinental title. This match seems like it will be pretty good. Mysterio is that high flyer while JBL is the ground and puond kind of guy. Seing as how its in Houston and JBL is from Houston im thinking Rey won't win. Especially since JBL says he wants to do something never before seen and there are rumors going around that he will retire, and no one has ever retired in there home state as intercontinental champion. WINNER: JBL.
John Morrison and the Miz vs. Carlito and Primo Colon for both the world and wwe tag team titles. I'm not going to lie i havnt been following this story line too much beacause it hasn't really been on t.v all that much. All I know is that Miz and Morrison have been hyped as the favorites in this match so it seems like the best way to go. WINNERS: Miz and Morrison.
25 DIva Battle Royal to crown Miss WrestleMania. This match is supposed to include all the current divas(20) and past divas. This seems to be and obvious pick (if your a fan). WINNER: Trish Stratus.
Chris Jericho vs. Rowdey Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and Rick the Dragon Steamboat. This match seems like it will be no good. As good as Chris Jericho is at carrying a match theres no way he could carry this one. The only Legend who will give him any help is Steamboat. Of course the other two have the hugest guts ive ever seen and Snuka is like 85 and Piper has had bith his hips replaced. Ric Flair is going to be in there corner so he will get involved somehow. Also the original planed opponint for Chris Jericho Micky Rourke will be in attendance and he will get involved somehow. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Stone Cold Steve Austin get involved somehow since he will be there because he is getting inducted into the Hall Of Fame this year. WINNERS: Legends.
Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker. This match is the one I'm lookin forward to the most . Both men are synonimous with WrestleMania. The Undertaker is Undefeated and Shawn Michaels is known as Mr. WrestleMania sbecause he always has the best match whether win or lose. The hype leading up to this match has been great. They have really done a good job with there promos. But i feel they have been letting Shawn get the better of The Undertaker a little too much to have him win. WINNER: The Undertaker.
Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy in an Extreme Rules Match. I feel making this an extreme rules match was a smart move seeing as Jeff is decent but Matt is not, and theres no way Jeff could Carry Mat through a good match without some stipulation. I expect this match to be a brutal match with a lot of high spots. I don't expect this match to be to long as if it is it could get old fast. WINNER: Jeff Hardy.
John Cena vs. Edge vs. Big Show for the World Heavy Weight title. This match has potential as lomg as they don't make it Big Show dominating the other two because he's 7'2" 500lbs. i don't think they will but if they do it will be a boring match. In my persinal oppinion i feel taking the Big Show out of the match for most of it would be a good idea because Edge and Cena couls have a good match on there own. In fact i feel the WWE is going to pick that rivalry back up after Mania. WINNER Jogn Cena.
HHH vs. Randy Orton for the WWE title. This match has been another one of the well hyped matches. Orton has gotten the better of HHH the past couple of weeks but I feel like this won't be the occasion where it will mean the person taking th ebeating will win. Plus Orton has been pushed as that guy the fans just absolutlly can't stand, the guy people pay to see get the crap kicked out of him. The only way to make that hatred stronger wich i feel WWE wants is to give Orton the title. The only yhing is if Orton wins that means HHH hasn't won at WrestleMania in 5 years. That would be the longetst drought ever for a main eventer I think, and I don't think Vince would do that to his son in-law, actually i do think he would do that. WINNER Randy Orton.
So thats my pick for this years WrestleMania even though most of you don't care. I'm sure you still don't care but if by some how your interseed in who wins and you didn't watch it I will be posting the winners with a preview of the match and my own ranking of the match on a 1-10 basis either Monday right after Mania but if i can't i will deffinatlly do it on Tuesday. If by somehow you people watch it i hope you enjoy it because I'm guessin i will unless it really is just awful(but Mania usually isn't).
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Christian vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Mark Henry vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. MVP vs. Finlay vs. C.M Punk. NCAA Tournament
Today starts the NCAA tournament also known as March Madness. The games started today at noonish. Starting today people all over the country are fixing there brackets or relishing in the fact that they haven't gotten any wrong yet(like me :D). So far no real upsets but the tournament is still young so who knows what will happen. Any way I'm hopin my picks come through and if anyone wants to leave me a pick they think will win let me know even though I'm bettin most people who will read this wont know anything about the tournament other than the fact that it has started.
